| Jamie & John Stevens, had been interested in Tracy Lynn Pristas's abstract landscape paintings for several years. They loved the work but could not find anything in her inventory that worked for them. Jamie had a vision of three various sized paintings that would fit between the wall sconces above their sofa, so they visited my studio in January to discuss a commission. Because Jamie is an architect and glass artist, she had a handle on how the creative process worked. They had color and size preferences in mind but did wish to limit my creativity in terms of subject matter. Being familiar with my work, they trusted me to create the most appropriate pieces for their space. I feel that the pieces add a touch of elegance and brilliance to their space. Jamie and John are big city gardeners, so Garden Escape will be especially uplifting to them during the gray days of winter. The Stevens saw the addition of the abstract landscape commissioned paintings to their home as something that needed to be celebrated, so they invited me over for dinner to have an unveiling of the pieces complete with a champagne toast. Needless to say, they were very pleased with their commission.
